Vineyards

The Weisser Riesling was harvested from 11 year old (Geisenheim clone 239) unirrigated vineyards, situated on decomposed granite soils, 300m above sea level.

Harvest Date

The grapes were hand-harvested on 24 March 1997.

Winemaking

The Weisser Riesling was fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain the intense lime and lemon flavours of the variety. The natural acidity is well-balanced by an off-dry finish.
