Vineyards

The Weisser Riesling 6was harvested from 18 year old (Geisenheim clone 239) unirrigated vineyards, situated on decomposed granite soils, 300m above sea level.

Harvest Date

The grapes were hand-harvested on 10^th March 2004.

Winemaking

The Weisser Riesling was harvested at 22.4°B and tank fermented at 16°C. Once a perfect balance between fruit and acidity was reached, the fermentation was stopped to retain a hint of natural residual sugar

Tasting Notes

Intense lemon-lime flavours.  A crisp fruitiness makes it a superb partner with food.  Hints of spiciness add to its intrigue.
