2005 Bradgate Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot
Description
Over a century has passed since Alfred Jordan settled in the Winelands of the Western Cape and named his family home Bradgate. Today, Bradgate Wines are produced by the Jordan Family from classic varieties grown in the Stellenbosch region. The Bradgate range combines the soft, accessible fruit of the New World with the elegance of Classic wine styles, ensuring well-structured wines with a complex concentration of fruit and flavour.

Cabernet Sauvignon (51%), Merlot (41%), and Shiraz (8%).
Vineyards
The Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested between 21st February and 9th March 2005 and the Merlot was harvested between 21st February and 3rd March 2005.The Shiraz was harvested on the 9th March 2005.

Winemaking
Maturation in new and used French oak barrels for between 10 and 15 months results in a harmonious integration of soft tannins and fruit.

Ripe blackberry Cabernet Sauvignon flavours blend easily with the velvety-rich, plummy fruit of the Merlot.Shiraz adds a spicy, red berry complexity
