Syrah (55%), Merlot (32%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (13%)
Vineyards
The grapes were harvested from selected West-facing Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, 7- 9 years in age.
Harvest Date
The Merlot was harvested between on 20th February 2008, the Syrah on 4th March 2008 and the Cabernet Sauvignon on 11th March 2008.
Winemaking
The grapes were destemmed and crushed where after they macerated on the skins for between 1 – 3 hours before being pressed. After settling for 2 days, the wine was racked and inoculated with local white wine yeasts.
Tasting Notes
Summer-berry flavours of Shiraz combined with plumy Merlot add complexity to this dry fruity rosé. A versatile partner to seafood and Asian dishes.
