Vineyards
The Weisser Riesling was harvested from 23 year old (Geisenheim clone 239) unirrigated vineyards, situated on decomposed granite soils, 300m above sea level.
Harvest Date
The grapes were hand-harvested on 20th March 2009.
Winemaking
The Riesling was harvested at 20.0°B and tank fermented at 15°C. Once the perfect balance between fruit and acidity was reached, the fermentation was stopped to retain a hint of natural residual sugar.
Tasting Notes
Intense lemon-lime flavours. A crisp fruitiness makes it a superb partner with food. Hints of spiciness add to its intrigue
