56% Syrah and 44% Merlot
Vineyards
The grapes were harvested from selected West- facing Syrah and Merlot vineyards, 8 -10 years in age.
Harvest Date
The Merlot was harvested on 18th February 2009 and the Syrah on 24thFebruary 2009 at approximately 22°B - 23°B.
Winemaking
The grapes were destemmed and crushed whereafter they macerated on the skins for between 1 – 3 hours before being pressed. After settling for 2 days, the wine was racked and inoculated with local white wine yeasts.
Tasting Notes
Summer-berry flavours of Shiraz combined with plummy Merlot add complexity to this dry fruity rosé. A versatile partner to seafood and Asian dishes.
