Since participating in BBC one MasterChef 2011, finalist Tom Whitaker, the marketing executive, has been honing his culinary skills in the kitchen of City restaurant, High Timber. High Timber, which opened in March 2009, is situated on the banks of the River Thames, some 50 yards from the St Paul’s Cathedral side of the Millennium Bridge, with great views across to Shakespeare’s Globe and the Tate Modern. With its extensive cellars, customers are able to view and choose wines from over 40,000 bottles of many of the world’s finest and rarest vintages.

To celebrate Tom’s success and his time under the tutorage of High Timber’s head-chef Justin Saunders, High Timber have launched a special dinner at the restaurant, on the Banks of the Thames. Offered at lunch time on Saturday 28 May, the menu will include several of the dishes that Tom prepared for the hard to impress John Torode and Gregg Wallace during the competition. Priced at £75 per person, the six course menu will be served over two days. This is your opportunity to judge Tom’s cooking prowess for yourself.
