 2009 was a year to top! Two new restaurants and a new label release! Many may shy away from climbing such an Everest during a recession but not the Jordans!

SOUTH AFRICAN WINE ESTATE LAUNCHES RESTAURANT IN LONDON
High Timber, brainchild of Gary and Kathy Jordan, of Jordan Wine Estate, and London restaurateur, Neleen Strauss, opened its doors in March 2009. This is the first time a South African winery has ventured into the London restaurant scene.
“This is a natural progression for us - we make wines that should be enjoyed with great food and what better place is there to do this than in our own London restaurant, where Jordan wines will be showcased alongside the very best in the world,” said Gary Jordan.

JORDAN WINE ESTATE REVEALS NEW LABEL
‘A classic label for a premium estate’
The introduction of the newly designed label will make its first appearance on the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2009 Sauvignon Blanc. For several years Jordan Estate has been regarded as one of South Africa’s premium wine estates and the new label will be a reflection of the refinements at Jordan.

JARDINE TEAMS WITH JORDAN TO LAUNCH NEW STELLENBOSCH RESTAURANT
Highly acclaimed chef George Jardine and award winning winemakers Gary and Kathy Jordan have joined forces to open a new restaurant in the grounds of Jordan Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. The Jordan Restaurant is located next to the estate’s tasting room and seat up to 80 guests, either indoors or outside on the patio and is open to visitors from 1 December 2009.
The partnership brings together the
Jordans, owners of one of the country’s best known and respected wineries, with former South African Chef of the Year Jardine, whose eponymous restaurant in Cape Town was recently listed in the San Pellegrino World’s 100 Best Restaurants for the second year in a row.
