 2007 Bradgate Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot receives top honour from Wine Enthusiast!
The 2007 Bradgate Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot was selected by Wine Enthusiast (December 4, 2008 issue) as one the Top 100 Best Buy Wines for 2008! It is ranked 68th with a score of 88 points. The 2007 vintage will be available from the cellar in 2009.
The Bradgate is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (43%), Merlot (41%), and Shiraz (16%). Ripe blackberry Cabernet Sauvignon flavours blend easily with the velvety-rich, plummy fruit of the Merlot. Shiraz adds a spicy, red berry complexity. Maturation in new and used French oak barrels for between 12 and 14 months results in a harmonious integration of soft tannins and fruit.
