Mousehall lies within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in a secluded valley on the northern edge of the parish of Mayfield in East Sussex. Mousehall was first recorded in the Domesday book in 1086 and since has been a working farm with a prosperous history.
In 2021 they converted an abandoned barn into what is now a Distillery & Winery and home to a 400L traditional Mueller copper pot still.
Gary, Kathy and Christy Jordan have been cultivating the land, planting and sourcing botanicals, and launching their first product Mousehall Sussex Dry Gin.
This classically London Dry style gin is produced from both grape and grain neutral spirit together with 13 different botanicals to create a perfectly balanced Juniper-forward Gin. Hints of fresh citrus, cardamom and a special South African ingredient, Rooibos (Redbush tea) adding a floral element to this refreshing and zesty gin.
Mousehall Sussex Dry Gin is made sustainably and handcrafted by the Jordan family in their Distillery & Winery at Mousehall Country Estate in Sussex
Mousehall is not only home to our Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier vineyard, and various gin botanicals, but to our Dorper sheep, 16 beehives, Lily and Cody, their Mousehall pets.
