Timepiece Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Timepiece is a wine collection that captures a part of the Jordan heritage.
The collection includes single vineyard wines from our estate vineyards, older than 35 years and carry the stamp of the estate founder, Ted Jordan.
LOCATION & CLIMATE
The distinct ravine which embodies Stellenbosch Kloof harnesses all the qualities of a well-orientated compass. Varying elevations and aspects allows us to grow a selection of classic varieties to specific sites that optimise this expression through their location.
The cooler south–facing aspect, hosts the more sensitive and aromatic white-skinned grape varieties.

TASTING NOTES: The inaugural vintage of the Timepiece Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the transparency of fruit associated with mature vines. This wine is rich and intense, with brooding flavours of malted dark chocolate, salted black liquorice and blueberries. A hint of mint adds freshness and nuance to the glossy tannins. The wine finishes dry with an extremely long, luscious character which ends with a refreshing savouriness.
HARVESTING: The grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness on the 8th of April 2022 at approximately 22.5°B.
WINEMAKING & MATURATION
After the grapes were picked the whole bunches were fermented in an open-top tank. Where the grapes were punched down three times a day. Whereafter they were pressed with the stems on. The gentle pressing ensure full-flavoured wines with soft, balanced tannins. This wine spent a total of 18 months in 225 litre French oak barrels.
